Animal Regulations (Ordinances 1-75, 05-04A & 8-05)
The City of Nash has established ordinances to assist with the control of animals within the city limits for the general health and welfare of the citizens of Nash.
It is unlawful for any person or family within the city limits to keep poultry or fowl or any hogs, goats, mules, donkeys or other similar livestock animals.
It is unlawful for any owner, keeper, or harborer of any dog, cat or other small animal to run at large upon any street. Owners/keepers may walk dogs while on a leash which is in the hand of the owner/keeper.
Aggressive dogs (defined as any dog that is cross, irritable or habitually snaps, snarls or manifests disposition to approach a person in an aggressive manner) shall be confined in an area surrounded by a six (6) foot chain link fence which is in good repair.
All dogs/cats within the city limits of Nash shall possess the following instruments.
City License per animal
Proof of Vaccination per animal
City Fees for Animals
Dog or Cat City License $5.00 per animal
(may be purchased at Nash City Hall)
Animal Impoundment Fee $90.00
Garage/Yard Sales (Ordinance 6-98)
It is necessary to obtain a FREE “Garage Sale” permit in the City of Nash. Limitation on sales: Only 3 sales in a 12 month period AND No more than 1 sale in any 30 day period AND each sale shall not last more than 3 consecutive days
Public Nuisance (Ordinance 05-05)
The City of Nash is dedicated to enhancing the beauty of our community and for the protection of our citizens from unsanitary conditions.
It is unlawful to keep, store or accumulate refuse, rubbish or old vehicles on any area of property that is visible from a public street.
Curfew Hours (Ordinance 12-96)
The City of Nash recognizes the importance of the safety of our youth. A curfew ordinance was enacted to protect minors and citizens of Nash.
It is unlawful for any person under seventeen (17) years of age to remain, walk, run, stand, drive or ride about in or upon any public place in the City of Nash during curfew hours.
