Mayor Bunch was born and raised in the Texarkana area and is a 1977 graduate of Texas High School. Robert graduated in 1982 from Texas A&M University-College Station with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Distribution. Since 1982, Mayor Bunch has been a part of the BWI Companies, Inc in various assignments, including: Outside Sales, Purchasing, Transportation Manager, Vice President of Operations, and currently is the Co-Owner and Co-President, Chief Administrative Officer. The Mayor’s commitment to our community is steadfast as he serves on several community boards.

The Mayor serves as the Chairman of the Four States Fair Board and the Texarkana Metropolitan Planning Organization, along with memberships on the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce Board, Caddo Area Council BSA Board, and the Texas Workforce Solutions Board. Mayor Bunch was elected to the Nash City Council on June 12, 2006 and served as Mayor Pro Tem during the 2007-2012 years.

Mayor Bunch is currently serving his 3rd term as Mayor of the City of Nash since his election on April 2, 2012. Robert is a life-long member of the Williams Memorial United Methodist Church in Texarkana and is married to his beautiful wife, Becky. Robert and Becky have three children, Karaline, Hannah, and JD.
